Dutch is our 5-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback male, and the cornerstone of Salem Peak Ridgebacks. With his striking red wheaten coat, classic black mask, and perfectly defined ridge, he represents the beauty and strength of the breed. His muscular build and noble stance reflect the Ridgeback’s heritage, but his temperament tells the other half of his story.
Dutch is gentle, patient, and steady—a quiet but confident observer who carries himself with calm assurance. Despite his size and strength, he has earned the affectionate nickname “Doodle-Bear” from our family, because at home he is truly a soft-hearted snuggler and gentle giant. Whether resting at your feet (okay it's the bed, let's be honest) or surveying the yard, Dutch embodies the loyal, loving spirit of the Rhodesian Ridgeback we are proud to carry forward in our breeding program.

Remi is our 2-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback female, full of life and personality. With her beautiful red wheaten coat, striking black mask, and elegant build, she is both graceful and strong. Known as “Remi-Roo” at home, she takes her role as the patroller of the house seriously—always the first to notice and alert us to any changes in her environment. Her mighty spirit and keen awareness reflect the protective instincts that Ridgebacks are known for.
Yet, for all her vigilance, Remi is also a kind and gentle soul. Sweet and affectionate, she loves to cuddle and insists on being at the very top of the cuddle pile. She thrives on closeness and affection, blending her watchful nature with a loving, tender heart. Remi embodies the balance of confidence and warmth that makes the Rhodesian Ridgeback such an extraordinary companion.
